Saint Etienne have signed highly-rated teenager Adil Aouchiche from Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder arrives on a free transfer having failed to agree a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
Aouchiche is Saint Etienne’s latest summer recruit as Claude Puel rebuilds the team after a disastrous campaign last time out which saw them narrowly avoid relegation.

Saint Etienne Won the Battle for the Highly Rated Teenager’s Signature
Saint Etienne announced via their official Twitter account they had signed the talented teenager. Aouchiche arrives on a free transfer but due to his age, Paris Saint-Germain will receive a nominal fee.
He has signed a three-year deal at Les Verts with the option of a further year. Aouchiche’s arrival continues Claude Puel’s recruitment drive after a disappointing campaign last time out.
Aouchiche arrives as Saint Etienne’s fourth summer signing after the captures of Jean-Philippe Krasso, Timothee Kolodziejczak and Yvan Neyrou. The talent will certainly hope to make an impact. He has plenty of pace and quality on the ball which Saint Etienne severely lacked last season.
Aouchiche’s arrival is seen as a real coup for Saint Etienne, who beat several European sides for his signature. Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Arsenal were just three of the sides chasing the teenager’s signature.
Time will tell if Aouchiche will be a success but it’s a shrewd piece of business from Les Verts. He has shown in glimpses his qualities but with severe competition at PSG, his game time was always going to be limited.
Aouchiche – ‘I Will Give My All’
Speaking about his move to Saint Etienne, Aouchiche said: “It is with immense pride that I sign with St Étienne.
“I am joining a great club in Ligue 1, which is carried by the fervour around it. The supporters are magnificent. The city breathes football. I made the right choice. This passion provides a lot of strength. I will give my all.”
