Eric Garcia looks set to remain at Manchester City next season, according to Martin Blackburn from the Sun.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Barcelona. Recent reports suggested that the City defender agreed to personal terms with the Catalan club, but it appears as though the Spaniard will stay at the Etihad.

New Deal for Garcia
Garcia started three of City’s six games since the restart and made 16 appearances overall for Guardiola’s side this season.
The 19-year-old centre back made his debut for City earlier this season against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup. Garcia provided an assist in the 3-0 win.
Following a run of excellent form in the first team for City, Garcia will reportedly be offered a new contract by the club.
According to reports, his wages will rise from £12,000 to £40,000 a week despite having two years left on his current contract.
Barcelona Interest
However, Barcelona still remains interested in Garcia, who came through the club’s prestigious La Masia academy.
But there has been no formal approach for the defender from Barca yet, which would breach FIFA’s transfer rules. This seemingly disproves any reports that the Spaniard agreed on terms to join his former club.
Garcia joined Man City from Barcelona’s academy in July 2017 for around £1.5 million.
Guardiola “Confident” of Garcia Stay
Guardiola spoke about Garcia’s situation following City’s 5-0 win over Newcastle United yesterday. The City boss said: “There is no updates, we have one more year, if they want him they must call Txiki and we’ll try to convince him to stay here for many years.
“I’m confident he will stay but it’s his decision, he knows we want him. But it was the same with Leroy Sane and he didn’t want to stay.
“Eric knows, his agent knows and his family know we want him here.”
