Borussia Dortmund Head to Rock Bottom Paderborn

Borussia Dortmund head to Paderborn in need of a response following their loss in the Klassiker. Lucien Favre’s young team ultimately came up short with experience of Bayern Munich proving too much.

However, the season is not over yet as Dortmund must win to maintain their faint title hopes and place in the top four. Dortmund are just four points clear of 5th placed Bayer Leverkusen with six games to go. Favre will hope to have Erling Haaland available after the striker went off injured in the Bayern Munich game. Jadon Sancho and Axel Witsel will hope to start after being left on the bench.

Dortmund head to basement side Paderborn who are in desperate need of a win to ignite their survival charge. Steffen Baumgart’s side are proving difficult to beat but wins are eluding his team. They have drawn their last three league games and are losing ground on the sides above them. A win against Dortmund could be the ticket to igniting their quest for survival.
