Olivier Giroud commented on him putting pen to paper on the new deal:

‘I am delighted to continue my journey and adventure at Chelsea. I can’t wait to get back to playing and enjoying competitive football with my team-mates. The goalkeeper has featured nine times in the 19/20 in between the sticks with his latest appearance being in a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the end of February.
