REPORT: Arsenal Want Bayern Munich Midfielder Angelo Stiller

Arsenal want to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller this summer, according to reports from Christian Falk and Bild.

The highly-rated 19-year old is yet to make his senior debut at the Allianz Arena under Munich boss Hansi Flick. However, the Gunners remain interested in bringing the young prospect to north London despite his inexperience.

REPORT: Arsenal Want Angelo Stiller

Hot-Prospect Stiller

Stiller made eight appearances for Bayern’s second team, Bayern II, between January and March. However, he is yet to train with the first team at Die Bayern, raising concerns about his immediate future with the Bundesliga leaders.

The 19-year-old has impressed in his performances for the side, particularly in the U19s Champions League. Stiller had made six assists in six games in this competition prior to the suspension of football. His passing ability and intelligence were also noticeable this season.

Despite Munich’s interest in keeping Stiller at the club as a long-term option, his current contract expires in June 2021.

A Cheaper Option for Arteta

Due to the length of Stiller’s contract, Arteta may be tempted to make a move for the talented German teenager this summer. This may present the Arsenal boss with a cheaper transfer option this summer.

Arteta seemingly wants to bring in a number of younger players to the Emirates in a bid to freshen his squad for next season.

According to Bild, the option to sell Stiller with the agreement of a buy-back option in the future may be appealing to both clubs and for the player.

Arsenal have maintained a long-term interest in Stiller. He seemingly wants to stay with the Bundesliga champions and establish himself as a regular under Hansi Flick. However, because he is yet to train with the first team, a move away could accelerate the German’s chances of first-team football.
