Manchester United have named their top transfer targets ahead of the summer window, as reported by James Robson of the Evening Standard.

Jadon Sancho: The top United Transfer Target

Seemingly the most important transfer for Manchester United to complete this summer is, Jadon Sancho is the least surprising name on this list.

Right-wing, Sancho’s preferred position, has been problematic for United for some time. Players such as Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard have tried their hand there but to no avail. Although Daniel James has found more success in the position this season, he is still a raw talent, and not up to the world-class quality the Red Devils would like.

Sancho, however, is certainly up to standard. The Englishman has 29 direct goal involvements in the Bundesliga this season, attracting interest from all over Europe. Among these have been colossal teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Liverpool who are currently dominating the Premier League.

It has boiled down to Chelsea and United, though, with the latter seemingly coming out on top. The Blues have already started searching for an alternative, with Philippe Coutinho high up on their list. United will hope to get this deal done as soon as possible and may have a top quality youngster staring in their first team next season.

Jude Bellingham

Another highly sought-after English talent, Jude Bellingham has had an impeccable season.

He became the youngest player to appear for boyhood side Birmingham City at the beginning of the campaign and has since become an instrumental part of their team. He has displayed incredible maturity in their midfield, attracting attention from across the world. Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Chelsea are set to battle for his signature, with all sides have fantastic claims as to why he should join them.

Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish may not get a move to the Theatre of Dreams this summer based on recent, off field events, but he is still a top priority, according to the report.

Although he broke quarantine rules, and then crashed his car, United are still supposedly interested in signing him. He has shown that he is of a high standard this season, having impressed on Aston Villa’s return to the Premier League.

He would be a great addition to Manchester United’s on-field presence, but his influence off the pitch may not be desirable.

James Maddison

A quality alternative to Grealish, James Maddison is equally skilled and could provide a better overall player. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considering personal attitude just as important as playing output, Maddison could be a more likely target. But, with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, there is much less need for an attacking midfielder, and he would likely be brought in as a rotation player.
