According to Spanish news outlet AS, the German Football Association is considering ending the Bundesliga season after the next round of fixtures as a result of the coronavirus.

Talks are set to take place to decide whether to bring the season to an abrupt end. According to the report, clubs from both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga are to decide on the matter alongside the DFB.
Should they decide to suspend the league and end the season after the next round of fixtures, then there would be no title-winner as well as no relegation.
There have been suggestions that the 2020/21 season would see the league expanded to 22 teams, with the top four teams from the 2. Bundesliga earning a place in the top division. At present, this would mean that Arminia Bielefield, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Heidenheim would join the current 18 teams in Germany’s top-flight.

The Bundesliga is the latest league to create contingency plans as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Both La Liga and Serie A have temporarily suspended league action because of the global pandemic. Matches are also being played behind closed doors to limit contact between people.
However, no such action is yet to take place in England. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that sporting events and mass gatherings of people will continue to take place. This means that fans will still be able to attend games across the country.
Clubs are continuing to follow guidelines on how to deal with the coronavirus. Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed in his press conference that three of his players are self-isolating after showing symptoms for the virus.
Furthermore, Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy is also self-isolating, according to the BBC.
