Mansfield Town Confirm Departures of Otis Khan and Andy Cook

Otis Khan Joins Newport County

Newport announced via their website they had signed the winger. Khan arrives on loan for the remainder of the season.

Speaking to the Newport website about his move, Khan said: “I am really happy to get this over the line and can’t wait to get going. Hopefully, I’ll be able to play as many games as possible during my time at Newport and impress the fans.”

“I am a forward-thinking player and I like to unlock teams and score goals. I am looking forward to meeting up with the rest of the squad and pushing on up the table.”

Manager Michael Flynn added: “I see this as a really important signing. Otis has shown what he can do at League Two level, he has been very good at Yeovil as well as Mansfield.”

“Otis will complete our attacking options. With his versatility, he can play out wide, behind the striker and even off the striker. He’s got the right attitude, he’s hungry and he wants to come here and show everyone what he can do.”

Andy Cook Re-Joins Tranmere Rovers

Tranmere announced via their website they had signed the striker. Cook joins on loan for the remainder of the season tasked with firing Tranmere to safety in League One.

Speaking to the Tranmere website about his return, Cook said: “I’m buzzing to be back. As soon as I found out about the interest, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

“I’m relieved and I can’t wait to get back playing at Tranmere and hopefully do what I did the last time I was there.

“The fans were good to me, everyone was good to me, so it was a no brainer to come back. I had an unbelievable time here and I don’t think I could have let this opportunity go. I’m so happy I’ve sorted it.

“I know the chairman and the manager, and a few of the players, so it has made things so much easier for me. It will be easier for me to get straight back in with all of the lads, so things like that played a part with the amount of people that I do know at the Club.

“I just want to come and push Tranmere up the league, score some goals and get them out of the relegation zone.”
