The Deal

Wolves announced via their website they had signed the midfielder. Loiodice arrives on loan for the remainder of the season. Wolves have the option to buy him in the summer if his loan is successful.

The 19-year-old will initially join the Wolves development squad but is expected to play some part in Wolves’ season. Loiodice is Wolves’ first January addition as Nuno Espirito Santo targets new additions before Friday’s deadline.

The French under-20 international is seen as one of France’s brightest talents. The midfielder has been with Dijon since 2015 having come through the youth ranks at SC Paris and FC Gobelins.

Loiodice has made 24 appearances for Dijon since making his breakthrough with the French side. Wolves want him to play an important role in their development squad as they target success in the Premier League.

What Was Said

Speaking to the Wolves website about his move, Loiodice said: “I’m very happy to be here.

“Wolves are a great team, they play in the Premier League and for all football players growing up in France, the Premier League is the biggest championship, so I’m very proud to be here.

“I’ve watched some of the Wolves games and there is a way to play here which I like, and although I know coming here is going to be difficult, I want to work hard, learn English football, play as many games as I can, and then we will see what happens.”

Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell added, “Enzo is French under-20 international who we have been monitoring for some time. We are looking forward to him joining the under-23 squad and showing everybody the quality that he has.”
