Blackpool’s busy transfer window continues with the Tangerines announcing the signing of Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The midfielder arrives on loan for the rest of the season and becomes Blackpool’s seventh signing.

The Deal
Blackpool announced via their website they had signed the midfielder. Dewsbury-Hall arrives on loan for the rest of the season as Simon Grayson’s continues to reshape his Blackpool team.
The young midfielder has been a regular for Leicester’s Under 23s. But this will be his first loan spell in the football league. Dewsbury-Hall is a box to box midfielder making over 70 appearances for Leicester’s development side since 2017.
He made his senior debut in Leicester’s narrow cup win over Brentford on Saturday. He is highly thought off at Leicester and certainly, it’s a real coup for Blackpool.
The midfielder also impressed in the Leasing.com trophy scoring twice in five games as Leicester Under 23s reached the quarter-finals. He was also named the Foxes’ development player of the year last season.
Dewsbury-Hall could make his debut tomorrow night when Blackpool travel to Wycombe Wanderers.
Dewsbury-Hall’s Whirlwind
Speaking to the Blackpool website about his move, Dewsbury-Hall said, “It’s been a whirlwind of 72 hours.”
“On Saturday I made my debut for the first team in the FA Cup, then the next day I travelled here to get this loan deal sorted. I’m really excited to come here and get some games under my belt. Hopefully, I can make a difference to the team and see where it takes us.”
Manager Simon Grayson added, “Kiernan is a player we’ve watched closely for a while now, so we’re delighted that we’ve been able to bring him in.”
“He’s very highly thought of at Leicester and I’d like to thank the club for allowing him to continue his development with us. He’ll be another terrific addition to the squad and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
