The Midfielder Is Looking to Prove Himself in The Football League
Taylor becomes Posh’s second January signing following Reece Brown into the club.
The midfielder joins Posh for a fee of £500,000 after signing a long term contract.
He has sparkled for non-league Barnet and now he will be determined to prove himself in the football league.
Darren Ferguson is delighted to have him on board, he said: “Jack is a player that I have known for years, I tried to sign him for my previous club. It didn’t get done. It is a big signing for us. The boy is absolutely ready for this step-up”.
Taylor was a linchpin in the Barnet midfield helping them push towards the National League play-off places. He scored an impressive eight goals from central midfield. He will be determined to transfer that form into Posh’s promotion charge.
Peterborough are a contender for promotion in League One and adding Taylor gives them a presence in midfield and a goal threat going forward.
This signing is a mark of intent by Darren Ferguson as he looks to lead Posh into the Championship.
Taylor could make his debut this weekend when Peterborough entertain Gillingham. A chance for the new signing to make a good impression.
Signing Taylor Indicates What Area Darren Ferguson Wants to Strengthen
It is only the seventh day of the transfer window, but Peterborough have already brought in two midfielders; an area Ferguson clearly feels needed new blood and energy with Posh heavily relying on their front three.
Ferguson clearly wants goals in midfield and signing Reece Brown and Jake Taylor gives Posh a potent goal threat from midfield.
