FTN: Latest on Mousa Dembélé, Llorente, Hudson-Odoi & Medel
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembélé looks set to move to China. Sky Sources believe that the Belgian will make the move in the January window. Subject to International clearance, the 31-year-old will leave English football.
Dembélé has been wanting a move to China but there has been no club who have the space for a foreign player, until now. It is believed the move to the Chinese Superleague side, Beijing Sinobo Guoan, will mean the midfielder taking a reduced salary.
Llorente to return to Spain?
Fernando Llorente looks to be returning to Spain and Athletico Bilbao. The 33-year-old Spaniard has been on the fringes for the Spurs squad since signing in 2017. Llorente would be a good fit for Athletico and likely get more first team game time.
The policy of only signing Basque players and not breaking into the Spurs squad could be enough to tempt Llorente back home. The London side will not want to lose the Spaniard on a free transfer in the summer. Taking some cash now to invest in younger replacements could also seal the deal.
Hudson-Odoi to leave Stamford Bridge?
Callum Hudson-Odoi looks set to leave Stamford Bridge. The 18-year-old forward has re-iterated his desire to leave Chelsea this month. Bayern Munich have increased their initial offer for the young Englishman and are now meeting Chelsea’s asking price of £35 million.
The youngster is eager to achieve first team football which is not available with Chelsea. Hudson-Odoi has refused to discuss a new contract with Chelsea and looks set to follow his English team-mates Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson to Germany.
Medel returning to English football?
Gary Medel is set for a return to English football. West Ham want to sign the Chilean forward. The former Cardiff City player could move to The Hammers if Besiktas are offered the right price.
Medel is an integral part of the Turkish club, however with the right offer to tempt the 31-year old away and to the Premier League. West Ham’s initial bid was rejected, they are believed to have increased their offer.
