Michael Owen’s Words on Liverpool’s Premier League Chances

Owen was positive about Liverpool’s chances, claiming that they’re “playing at their absolute peak at the moment”.

In the league, they currently have the joint-most points and have only lost two games all season. Nobody has lost less, and their first loss was against Tottenham Hotspur all the way back in September.

Owen revealed that “My heart of course says Liverpool…it would be an incredible story, too, with it being Jurgen Klopp’s final season”. Klopp announced his future departure in February.

The Englishman went on to explain: “I do think they [Liverpool] have the easiest run-in”.

Liverpool benefit as Arsenal and Manchester City are yet to play each other at the Etihad Stadium. One of the sides is guaranteed to drop points in this match, and a draw would likely see the Reds take a big lead over both.

It will be tough for Liverpool to prevent Manchester City from winning a record fourth consecutive Premier League title, but Klopp will be eager to claim more silverware in his final year.
