Nottingham Forest Close In On Ibrahim Sangare Signing
Ibrahim Sangare Set to Undergo Medical
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare “just arrived” in Nottingham to undergo his medical tests before being able to complete a late deadline day move to Nottingham Forest.

The Reds are claimed to be paying a transfer fee package of £29.5 million for the 25-year-old midfielder as they desperately aim to improve their options in midfield. The Ivory Coast international will now need to complete his medical and sign all the necessary contracts in time before the 11 PM (BST) deadline in England.
Sangare is a combative midfielder who has played well for the Eredivisie side over the last few years. He was one of their most impressive performers last season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in all competitions despite mostly playing as a defensive midfielder, with his role mostly being to win possession for his side and provide defensive cover.
Who Else Did Forest Sign Recently?
Steve Cooper’s side have been involved in a few deals on deadline day and improved their attack by bringing in young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea on a permanent deal.
The Reds are reported to be looking to bring in ex-Liverpool forward Divock Origi to add more numbers to their frontline after reports emerged that they had agreed to sell young forward Brennan Johnson to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the window.

Despite all that, Forest appear to be satisfied to spend a considerable fee for a new defensive midfielder in Sangare. The 25-year-old, hailed as “extraordinary” last year, should add more depth of options to the squad – but also bring more steel and physicality to their midfield line.
