Manchester United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers – Predictions and Best Odds
Manchester United’s Pre-Season
The Red Devils have had something of an up-and-down pre-season. Consecutive losses to Wrexham, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund exposed some real issues throughout the squad, but the club have bounced back with a win against RC Lens and a hard-fought draw with Athletic Club.
Old Trafford’s transfer business has been strong too. Andre Onana and Mason Mount are both likely to start, with new centre-forward Rasmus Hojlund still dealing with an injury from his time at Atalanta.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pre-Season
Wolves are suffering from a somewhat dire pre-season, before even considering their results. The Midlands side are as yet undefeated, but losing a raft of major players, in addition to their manager, will make them severely disorganised across the pitch.
With a severely depleted squad, very few incoming players and a manager with no time to implement his tactical goals, this could be a bad day for Wolves.
Recent Head to Head
The Old Trafford outfit has won four of the sides’ last five clashes, and has only lost once against the Molyneux side since 2019. Recent history shows that this could be incredibly tough for Gary O’Neil’s squad.
Manchester United vs Wolves Prediction
With Wolves being a favourite for relegation amongst a lot of fans and their opponents being a well-built squad coming into a second year football under Erik ten Hag, we can expect to see an absolute hammering. If O’Neil has worked quickly he could mitigate this, but early signs are not positive for his managerial debut at the club.
