Djed Spence and Joe Rodon to Go the Other Way
In their bid to acquire the talented forward, the Lilywhites are contemplating an innovative multi-player offer. The North London club are considering including Djed Spence and Joe Rodon in the negotiations in order to tempt the Forest hierarchy into accepting the offer. The two players offered are on the right side of the age spectrum at 22 and 25 years of age respectively, which could play a part in City Ground-based club’s consideration of the offer.

Spence was signed in the summer of 2022 but he found it hard to get regular playing time in the initial months. This followed a spell out on loan to French side, Rennes where he continued his development. The young right-back is no stranger to Forest, having played a pivotal role in their Championship promotion-winning campaign in 2021/22. Rodon also spent last season out on loan to Rennes making 22 appearances across all competitions. The Welsh Centre-back had previously spent two seasons in the Premier League where he could only accumulate 15 outings.
Spurs’ Interest and Forest’s Valuation of Their Prodigy
While the club has had a successful incoming transfer window, the uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane’s future has left their forward line in jeopardy. Their interest in the versatile forward signals their commitment to strengthening their attacking options.
The Nottingham-based team value their prized winger at £50 million which appears to be more than what Ange Postecoglou’s side are willing to offer. The inclusion of two above-mentioned players in the negotiations might help in sweetening the deal and accelerating it towards completion.
Harry Kane Replacement?
With speculation looming over the future of their star striker, Tottenham’s pursuit of Johnson takes on added significance. The young forward’s versatility and goal-scoring ability make him a potential candidate to step into the shoes of the iconic Englishman.
