It’s added that a verbal agreement has occurred between the two clubs, with documents being prepared. PSG have agreed to sign him on loan for the 2023/24 season, all while keeping financial fair play issues in mind.

Romano states that the Parisian side will be paying a fee of around £69 million (including add-ons) in 2024 to the Portuguese side, as the loan deal has an obligation clause for them to sign him permanently next year. Ramos impressed several clubs with his performances last season and was even reported to be a target for Manchester United before they shifted their focus to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

PSG’s Proactive Transfer Window So Far

PSG have been quite active in the transfer market through the summer after losing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami. They have signed some new players like Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich and Uruguay midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The French club have also made some impressive free transfers by bringing in ex-Real Madrid star Marco Asensio and former Inter Milan captain Milan Skriniar to bolster their squad.

The Ligue 1 giants are reportedly trying to sell Kylian Mbappe after he allegedly told them he won’t extend his current contract, which expires next year. Ramos could act as a replacement for the Frenchman and lead their forward line.
