Liverpool Midfield Overhaul Continues
The Brazilian will join Jordan Henderson, who has completed his move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq, in leaving the Reds. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also not seen their contracts renewed after struggling with injuries throughout their time in Merseyside.
Additionally, James Milner has joined Brighton, to bolster a midfield that has seen Alexis Mac Allister move in the opposite direction this summer.

Dominik Szoboszlai has arrived from RB Leipzig and at least one more midfield arrival is expected. It might not be long before we see a deal for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia completed.
Deal ‘Very Close’ to Completion
Once all the necessary checks and formalities are completed, the 29-year-old is expected to undergo a medical examination. This assessment is a crucial step in the transfer process, ensuring that the player is fit and healthy to embark on his new journey with Al-Numoor.
If a deal for the “world-class” player, who has 29 caps for his country, does go through he will become teammates with former Celtic winger Jota, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante, who have all joined the Saudi league champions ahead of the coming season.
Watch: How Jurgen Klopp Will Rebuild Liverpool?
Liverpool will happily recoup most of the £43.7 million they paid to acquire Fabinho from AS Monaco in 2018. The player had been a critical player for much of his time at the club, but his performance levels fell off significantly last season and he looked a shadow of himself compared to previous campaigns.
The defensive midfielder will join a host of other big names in Saudi Arabia, with the likes of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Marcelo Brozovic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, and Edouard Mendy all sealing transfers to the Arab state this summer, joining Cristiano Ronaldo who joined in January.
