Romano adds that the plan is to complete the transfer next week and that the Reds have discovered it won’t take the same financial outlay that was previously thought. The fixed amount demands from Brighton are not that high, meaning that the Merseyside club could secure his signing for a relatively lower fee.
Moreover, Spanish outlet Relevo’s journalist Matteo Morretto adds that everything is practically arranged between Liverpool and Mac Allister over the deal. He also adds that Jurgen Klopp’s side are ready to pay the release clause for his signing, which is expected to be less than £70 million. With the club already announcing the departure of multiple midfielders, including James Milner, who is linked with a move to Brighton, and Arthur Melo, it shouldn’t take much time to slot a World Cup winner like Mac Allister into their squad.
