Romano adds that the Gunners will be handing a new five-year contract to Saka, and the documents are ready to be signed before it can be made official. It’s also stated that the North London club have also had an agreement over a new club with the young winger since February, as he is keen on staying with his childhood club and helping them compete for trophies.
Moreover, Arsenal also confirmed a new long-term contract for Aaron Ramsdale recently, with the England goalkeeper deciding to secure his future with the North London club.
Saka’s Memorable Rise at Arsenal Recapped
Saka joined Arsenal at the age of seven and spent many years in their youth academy system before getting his senior debut at the age of 17 in 2018. His real growth started when Mikel Arteta took over the club in 2019. The Englishman even played as a wing-back in his early period under the Spaniard before growing into one of the most important players for the Gunners.

The young winger has had a pretty good record for the Gunners having scored 37 goals and provided 40 assists in 178 games across all competitions. That includes 13 goals and 11 assists across 37 Premier League games this season, which is his personal best so far. Saka, who was hailed for making a “wonderful” impact for England by ex-Manchester City defender Micah Richards during the Qatar World Cup, will aim to impress even more records at Arsenal after signing the new deal.
