Inter Milan appear to be preparing themselves for the potential exit of Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that: “Inter are exploring options to replace Milan Skriniar in case agreement will be reached with PSG to anticipate the deal in January.
“Victor Lindelof, option in the list but Man United want to keep him.”

Victor Lindelof’s 2022/23 Campaign
Following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez in the summer, Lindelof has been mostly reduced to cup competition appearances this season – nine of his 15 appearances in total have come in either the FA Cup, Europa League or Carabao Cup.
However, that hasn’t stopped the 28-year-old from impressing his manager. Speaking on the defender reaching a landmark 200 appearances for the club, Erik ten Hag described him as a “really important player” in the Manchester United squad.

Ultimately, Lindelof will not be happy with the amount of game time he has been afforded this season, and whether it be Inter Milan or another club, would likely be interested in a possible move away from Old Trafford for that reason.
A Good Signing
From Inter’s perspective, he would be a very good signing too. As well as likely being available at an affordable price, he is still a good defender and is unlucky to be the third-choice behind two world-class players in Raphael Varane and Martinez.
At 28, the Swedish international is also at an age where he is just coming into his prime and still has plenty of his best years ahead of him.

Unfortunately, it appears as though it won’t be an easy deal to get done this January though. Romano also stated that United want to keep the defender as they are unable to buy a replacement at this time, which means this transfer saga could potentially develop during the remainder of the season and into the summer transfer window.
