A Huge Milestone for Women’s Football in England

Interest in the Women’s Super League has seen a sharp incline ever since the Lionesses were triumphant in the 2022 Women’s European Championships, and the progress that has been made is highlighted by this record-breaking achievement.

The WSL has already seen a huge increase in coverage across the major networks in England and if attendances can continue to rise as they have done over the past couple of years, then the women’s game will see a huge spike in revenue generated. In turn, this would see an increase in the amount of funding clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham allocate to their women’s teams, which will only raise the standard of the women’s game even further.

These are exciting times for women’s football not just in England, but across the globe.
