Chelsea are set to complete the signing of Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan. The midfielder, who has been compared to Stamford Bridge legend Frank Lampard, will sign a six year deal in West London after completing a medical which is scheduled to be within the next 48 hours.
The deal will reach up to £17 million if all add-on clauses are reached, which would represent fantastic value for money should Casadei fulfil his potential.

Chelsea Having a Successful Transfer Window With More to Come
Chelsea’s transfer window has thus far been more than adequate.
With just over two weeks of the trading period left, they have signed Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Gabriel Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Marc Cucurella. Koulibaly has already scored his first goal in a Chelsea shirt despite being a centre-back and was assisted by fellow new boy Cucurella. Sterling has started their first two games, seemingly an acting replacement for Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner despite being more experienced on the wings, while Chukwuemeka and Slonina were brought in more as acquisitions for the future.

Adding to this list now, the confirmation of Casadei’s move to the English capital is just a matter of time. He was wanted specifically by new owner Todd Boehly and joins Chukwuemeka and Slonina as signings made based on potential rather than current ability.
Chelsea are not at all done with their transfer business for the summer though. According to reports, they are still chasing Anthony Gordon, Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Frenkie de Jong.
They have already made offers for each of the aforementioned Premier League duo, but have seen both rejected.
Meanwhile, the Stamford Bridge hierarchy are reluctant to fork out so much money for an ageing Aubameyang, despite the fact that Thomas Tuchel is very keen on him.
