AC Milan Are After Carney Chukwuemeka
The Complexities
Beating out Barcelona for a player’s signature is a tough task. That’s the first complexity for the Rossoneri.
The rumoured fee for the player, according to The Athletic, stands at £20 million. That is an expensive fee for a young player who is out of contract after next season.

Aston Villa have been negotiating a contract renewal for months now with the player, but progress hasn’t been made. Chukwuemeka has now been left out of the club’s Australia preseason tour. An eventual departure is looking more and more likely.
The Fit With Milan
Chukwuemeka made 12 senior appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League last season. He saw less than 300 minutes on the pitch and registered one assist. The 18-year-old hasn’t truly made his mark at the senior level just yet, although he holds a strong track record in the youth divisions.
Carney Chukwuemeka is built incredibly well at such a young age. A midfield monster who would tear up Serie A if he joined Milan. I swear if we sign this lad it would be an simply brilliant move! pic.twitter.com/Uzi5i2CRR4

Milan needs help in both the midfield and attacking midfield. Chukwuemeka can play both positions. As of now, Milan’s starting attacking midfielder is Brahim Diaz. Although still a promising prospect, Diaz is owned by Real Madrid. Milan may not need an immediate starter but will need reinforcements down the line. Bringing in a youth player early is a sound investment as the player can learn the system before becoming an important piece.
