Everton Complete Dele Alli Signing

Everton

Everton have completed the signing of out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli. The news comes as little surprise. Alli, perhaps more than most, needed a move this month. And, Everton, more than most, were in desperate need of a creator.

It seems a little ironic that it is Lampard making the move for Alli. For so long, many compared the Spurs midfielder to the legendary Chelsea man, whilst also making comparisons with Steven Gerrard. Now, we could see Alli under the mentorship of Lampard. And, who better to revive your career under than the man many claimed you could one day be?

The move could be seen as one of the best come the end of the campaign.

Dele Alli Completes Everton Move

Alli Hoping for Lingard-Like Impact at Everton

If you cast your minds back to last year, it was another frozen out creator making a move for the benefit of his career. Jesse Lingard made the leap of faith a year ago, and went onto make a bigger impact than anyone could have ever imagined, scoring nine goals and assisting a further five in just 16 games to put him back in contention for England.

Now, it could be Alli’s turn. The Spurs midfielder is undoubtedly talented, and away from the constant chaos of the North London club, he could prosper once more, especially under Lampard. The former Chelsea boss played a big part in Mason Mount’s rise from their time together at Derby County, before Chelsea.

Unlike Lingard, Alli has opted for a permanent move, where he will hope to become a star once more.

Alli will know the importance of using the move to get his career back on track, and what might happen if he doesn’t perform to the standard we all know he can perform to.
