Former Fulham loanee Ademola Lookman has completed his move to Leicester City on loan from RB Leipzig. The move to a top club is certainly a deserved one after the season he had with Fulham during the last campaign. As the Cottagers went down, Lookman provided the one bright spark, carrying Scott Parker’s side at times.
Now, at Leicester, the winger will be hoping to gain a first-team place in amongst the most competitive Foxes squad for years. Brendan Rodgers has already welcomed several key names through the door this summer, from Patson Daka to Jannik Vestergaard. Now, the former Celtic boss must use that squad to his advantage and take Leicester to an even higher level.

Deserved Move
Out of any Fulham player last season, Lookman deserved to go down the least. He played like a winger in a top-half side, travelling to the likes of Anfield before terrorising Liverpool with his pace, direct drive and skill. If he can increase his goal involvements, Leicester will have themselves a top player.
At Leipzig, Lookman has never looked like breaking into the side on a permanent basis. Even new manager Jesse Marsch failed to hand him the needed opportunity in Germany, resulting in another loan move.
This time, the winger will be hoping to make his move to England a permanent one come next summer. It was surprising that he didn’t get his move earlier in the window, given his position, or, lack of it, within the Leipzig squad. Eventually, however, he got his move, making it a case of better late than never. And what a move it is, too. Leicester present Lookman with the perfect opportunity to finally reach his full potential, playing both Premier League and Europa League football this season.
