Tottenham Hotspur to Prioritise Creative Signings

Mikkel Damsgaard Under Consideration

So far this summer, Tottenham have been busy in the market concerning transfers for the defensive third of the pitch. In addition to back-up goalkeeper Hart’s move to Celtic, Argentinian shot-stopper Paulo Gazzaniga has left the club to join Fulham.

As mentioned, left-back Danny Rose has also joined central defensive duo Alderweireld and Foyth in leaving north London in recent weeks, while Romero’s arrival from Atalanta is on the verge of completion.

As such, new Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo and director of football Fabio Paratici are now ready to switch their attention to the midfield and forward areas in terms of bringing new players into the club this summer.

Denmark’s Mikkel Damsgaard is reportedly a player the club are interested in signing and may make an official approach for in the coming weeks. The left-winger impressed for his counrty at Euro 2020 and scored a sensational free-kick against England in the semi-finals.

The 21-year-old is under contract at Serie A club Sampdoria until 2024, having joined from Nordsjaelland in September 2020.

Spurs Also Monitoring Noni Madueke

England U21 winger Noni Madueke is another player Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on this summer as the transfers ramp up. The 19-year-old plays on the right of midfield for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie, but the north London club may look to bring him back to his place of birth in this window.

Like Damsgaard, Madueke is under contract until 2024 at his current club, and has established himself as a key player in their first-team. PSV are currently attempting to qualify for the Champions League proper, with Madueke having scored two goals and provided one assist in three qualifying games.
