Dutch international Justin Kluivert is set to join Ligue 1 side Nice, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Roma winger will be joining the French side on a year-long loan spell with an option to buy.

Fourth Club in Three Years for Justin Kluivert
Roma winger Justin Kluivert is set to join French side Nice on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. The Ligue 1 side will be the fourth club in three years for Kluivert, who was once coveted by Europe’s elite. The last three years have seen Kluivert Jr playing for Ajax, Roma and RB Leipzig.
Son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert, Justin, like his father, burst onto the scene as a teenager at Ajax. The winger quickly attracted the attention of Europe’s elite and finally opted to join Roma in 2018. However, the move failed to produce the required results for the young winger.
The last three seasons have seen Kluivert struggling to live up to his potential. After a decent start in Rome, Kluivert struggled with injuries and a drop in form. A loan move to RB Leipzig last season yielded the same result for the former Ajax man. Over the last three seasons, Kluivert has made 95 appearances but found the net just 13 times.
At 22, Kluivert is still very young. The young winger will be hoping to turn his fortunes around as he looks set to sign for Nice.
A Very Busy Transfer Window for Nice
Nice have been very busy during this transfer window. The French side started the season officially appointed reigning Ligue 1 winning manager Christophe Galtier from Lille at the end of last month. They announced their first signing a day prior to the Galtier’s arrival after activating the buy option in Jean-Clair Todibo’s loan deal.
Highly-rated Dutch winger Calvin Stengs from AZ Alkmaar was the second one to follow. Just a couple of days ago, Nice agreed on a deal to sign Melvin Bard from Lyon. Justin Kluivert will be the fourth player to arrive at the Allianz Riviera this season.
