Defender Signs Four-Year Deal
Toure has agreed a four-year deal with AC Milan moving from Ligue 1 side Monaco.
Milan finished runners up to bitter rivals Inter Milan in the 2020/21 Serie A Season and have now strengthened their back line.
He joins a day after the side completed the signing of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud for a fee of around £2 million. The Frenchman has signed a two-year deal with the Italian side.
Journey to Italy
The 24-year-old left-back will be a back-up to Theo Hernandez after spending his youth career with Paris Saint-Germain before joining Lille in 2017. Toure then made the move to Monaco in 2019 where he played on 74 occasions prior to joining AC Milan.
Senegalese International
Toure gained eight international caps playing for the French U21 squad but decided to change his allegiances when it came to senior football, opting to play for Senegal where he made his debut in March 2021 having picked up four caps to date.
AC Milan have not qualified for the Champions League for seven years and are readying for their return ahead of the new 2021/22 season whilst also looking to go one better and take the Serie A title from Inter Milan.
The team will start the new season against Sampdoria on August 22nd and Toure will need to work hard to displace Hernandez who has been a constant player in manager Stefano Pioli’s side.
