Championship side Huddersfield Town have completed the season-long loan signing of Chelsea central defender Levi Colwill.
The left-footed centre-back who has been capped by England at Under-17 level has yet to make a league appearance for Chelsea but has featured in the Papa Johns Trophy for the Blues. He was also brought in to train with Chelsea’s senior squad by manager Thomas Tuchel towards the end of last season.
Huddersfield Head Coach Carlos Corberán was pleased to bring Colwill to the club. He said: “I’m looking forward to working with Levi this season, as he is a very talented player with big potential.
“He has many of the qualities we look for in our centre backs. Is already very impressive physically, and his athletic ability will help the team defend the space in behind. He is also very comfortable in possession, as you would expect from someone who is in the Chelsea Academy.
