According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. The deal is said to be until 2026 with no issues on Sancho’s end. When it comes to negotiations with Dortmund, United could face issues, however.
The current asking price is €95 million, lesser than last summer’s valuation. Yet, Manchester United are still not close enough to reaching an agreement. They do, however, feel closer than ever to securing a deal for the England international, according to Romano.
They’ll be eager to get the deal over the line this summer and get the fans back onside in the process after the attempt to join the European Super League led to fan protest.
United Agree Personal Terms With Jadon Sancho
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Missing Piece
Having finished second in both the Premier League and Europa League, there was feeling amongst fans that something or someone was missing at Old Trafford. That marquee and big name signing; that fear factor of playing against United, against the best players.
And, truthfully, they are missing that. They are missing the player that wins you titles, the player that stands out and one the opposition fears. Jadon Sancho can provide that missing piece to take Manchester United back to silverware. The Borussia Dortmund winger could be United’s version of Virgil van Dijk.
Since the Dutchman signed for Liverpool, the Reds have won the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup and Club World Cup. He provided them with their missing piece. Sancho can provide United with theirs.
Money may be a problem, but we’ve seen those at Old Trafford invest similar amounts on the likes of Harry Maguire before. So why not spend the same on Sancho? It should be a no-brainer for Manchester United, and fans will be desperate to see the winger finally arrive.
