Pearson: Bournemouth a ‘Good Club’
Having not featured for Preston since December, Pearson’s move to Bournemouth will give him the opportunity to play regular Championship football once again.
A graduate of the Manchester United academy, Pearson spent five years at Deepdale, making 165 appearances in all competitions.
In an announcement on Bournemouth’s official club website, Pearson stated: “As soon as I heard of Bournemouth’s interest I wanted to come here.
“It is a good club with big ambitions to get back into the Premier League, which is somewhere I want to be as well, so we have the same aim.
“The Championship is a difficult league but I’m experienced here and know what it’s about. I felt like I was ready for a new challenge and now it’s here I’m really looking forward to starting training and getting to know my new teammates.”
Bournemouth Bolster Midfield Options in Push for Promotion
After confirming the return of Jack Wilshere on a short-term deal earlier in January, Bournemouth have added another midfielder to their ranks as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.
Currently sitting in the final play-off place, the Cherries will be looking to close the gap to second-placed Swansea City, who sit five points above them in the Championship’s midway through the 2020/21 season.
Victory in a vital promotion clash on Friday night against Reading would see Bournemouth move above the Royals into fourth.
