REPORT: Bayern Munich Open Talks With Andrej Kramaric

Kramaric

German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing Andrej Kramaric from Hoffenheim. The Croatian striker has been in sensational form for his club and according to Christian Falk of BILD, Bayern have started talking to his management about manufacturing a move to the Allianz Arena before Monday’s deadline.

An ideal backup for Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, a fee around the €40 million marks is being touted for Kramaric, but the Croatian international has a contract until 2022.

With the loss of Thiago to Liverpool and reportedly imminent loss of Michael Cuisance to Leeds United respectively, Bayern have only made one significant signing in Leroy Sane and will be looking to bolster their squad if they are to retain the treble this season.

Bayern Contact Kramaric Over Potential Move

Goalscoring Machine

Bayern were given a taste of what the former Leicester striker could do, after he stunned the Bavarians at the Prezero Arena, ending their 32-match unbeaten run, scoring twice in an impressive 4-1 victory.

The 29-year old has already scored five times in two appearances this season and has now netted 77 times for Hoffenheim in 153 appearances. This comes after a forgettable spell in England with the Foxes.

After an influential performance to hand defeat to the German champions, even German legend Lothar Mathäus praised the former Dinamo Zagreb forward.

“Hansi Flick’s praise a few days ago was no accident. Kramaric has already scored five goals after two matchdays and has also scored twice in the cup,” he said.

“He is a player who, in my opinion, definitely has the potential for Bayern Munich.”

Since rebuilding his career in Germany somewhat, the Croatian would have been dreaming about another chance at a top club; an opportunity that Bayern Munich could provide the firing Hoffenheim forward this season.
