The NBA has released the schedules for every team during the 2024-25 regular season. The regular season will run from October 22, 2024 until April 13, 2025. Along with that schedule release, fans also found out which games will be televised nationally for them to see. Brett Siegel, a national NBA insider and reporter for ClutchPoints, did everyone a favor by providing how many games each team will have on national television. Here are the five teams that will have the most games airing on ABC, ESPN, or TNT during their 82-game regular season.
(There are six teams tied for the least amount of nationally televised games with just one apiece. They are the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, and Washington Wizards.)
NBA Teams With The Most Nationally Televised Games In 2024-25
1. Los Angeles Lakers – 29
While the Lakers aren’t on many people’s short list of title contenders, they do still employ LeBron James. Not only that, but people may want to tune in during games Bronny James is with the team, and not in the G League, for the chance of seeing him on the court with his dad. Fans may be particularly interested, especially at the beginning of the season, to see JJ Redick on the sidelines during his first foray into coaching.
2. Boston Celtics – 26
The reigning NBA champions, the Celtics are bringing back everyone who played meaning playoff minutes for the team. Franchises such as the Knicks, 76ers, and Thunder made moves to improve their championship chances, but Boston remains the favorites. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, they easily have the best odds of winning it all next season at +295. The next best odds belong to Oklahoma City at +700.
T3. Golden State Warriors – 24
Much like the Lakers, the Warriors aren’t necessarily seen as being one of the teams having a great shot at winning the 2025 NBA Finals. Also like the Lakers, they roster a superstar player who will entice people to tune into his games in Stephen Curry. Others may tune in just to see the antics of Draymond Green.
T3. New York Knicks – 24
A franchise that was one of the laughing stocks of the league for quite some time, the Knicks have quickly risen to relevancy. They have advanced to the second round of the playoffs in each of the last two years, and a conference final appearance was likely if not for so many injuries in the 2024 postseason. The addition of Mikal Bridges should add to the fun factor and camaraderie that the team already had, and plenty of ‘Nova Knicks’ memes will be seen throughout the season.
5. Dallas Mavericks – 23
The Mavericks possess the most dynamic backcourt in the NBA with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The two helped to spearhead an NBA Finals run last season. They have now added sharpshooter Klay Thompson who should be able to capitalize on open looks due to the backcourt’s ability to penetrate and garner so much defensive attention. Can Dallas make another run to the finals in a loaded Western Conference?
