Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks, Eastern Conference Semifinals Preview

The No. 6 Indiana Pacers, in the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, upset the Milwaukee Bucks in six games to advance to the second round of the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2013-14. The Pacers, averaging the second most points in the playoffs (113.2), topped the 12o-point mark in all four of their wins against the Bucks. However, they were held to fewer than 100 points in both losses.

The Pacers won 47 games during the regular season, marking their second straight season of improving their win total by double-digits. The Pacers 47 victories were their most since 2018-19.

New York, the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, is in the conference semifinals for the second straight season, having eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers in six games. Jalen Brunson was fantastic in the series, setting several Knick records. He scored 39+ points in the last four games and produced three double-doubles. The Knicks averaged 108.3 points against the 76ers.

The Knicks had a fantastic regular season, winning 50 games despite several players dealing with injuries. It was the Knicks most victories in a decade.

Indiana won the series over New York 2-1. However, the teams split their two games in New York and have not faced each other since February 10.

The Knicks continue to be without Julius Randle and Bojan Bogdanovic, who are both out for the remainder of the season. Tyrese Haliburton has been dealing with back spasms since Game 4 of the first round, but he has played in each game. Haliburton is officially listed as questionable.

How To Best Use BetMGM NBA Promo

New York and Indiana are meeting in the playoffs for the eighth time. The Pacers lead the all-time playoff series 22-19 and have won four of the previous seven series. Expect the series to be very competitive.

Tip #1: The Knicks are the better team here, as they can defend. Since the Knicks are -250 to win the series, instead consider the BetMGM double of the Knicks winning Game 1 and the series (-165).

Tip #2: Series to go six games. Each of the past three series between the Knicks and Pacers has gone six games, and there is value at (+210).

Tip #3: Look at 3-point shooters as there is a lot of value: Donte DiVincenzo (+180),  Josh Hart (+1000), Tyrese Haliburton (+250), and Myles Turner (+1000) are the top options.

Tip #4: Look at the top passers; there are two options: Tyrese Haliburton (-250) and Jalen Brunson (+160).
