A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Scott Shaffer received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. He received his Master of Arts from Arizona State University in Criminal Justice and researched public policies relating to criminal justice as well as other areas of national security. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Boise State University. He has contributed to the Naval Historical Foundation, USNI’s Proceedings, the Richard Nixon Foundation, and the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR).
