Milwaukee Brewers’ City Connect Jerseys Make 2024 Debut

The Brewers City Connect jerseys are set to debut

The Milwaukee Brewers will wear their alternate “City Connect” uniforms for the first time this season on Friday night at American Family Field. They will then open a three-game interleague series against the Chicago White Sox.

First debuted in 2022, the powder blue jersey with the team nickname “Brew Crew” splashed across the chest and a hat intertwining the city’s area code (414) and airport abbreviation (MKE) had yet to be worn in 2024 due to various production and shipping delays. The delays were part of the issues plaguing the NIKE/Fanatics overhaul of Major League Baseball uniforms.

Those issues also delayed Milwaukee’s other alternate uniform set’s debut: the pinstriped, “throwback” style, which pays homage to the early-1980s squads that produced the Brewers’ first—and to this date, only—World Series appearance in 1982.

With both the pinstripe and City Connect sets now on hand, the Brewers have their full gamut of five different uniforms at their disposal. Along with the two alternates, there is a navy-blue alternate top and the traditional road grey and home cream sets.

The City Connect series debuted in 2021 with seven teams — the Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox, Dodgers, Marlins, and Giants — getting the new, non-traditional looks. Milwaukee was one of the next seven teams to get its new threads a year later, and six more got theirs last season. The Blue Jays will debut their tonight, with the Twins slated to follow in June. Leaving the Yankees and Athletics as the only remaining teams without a City Connect jersey.
