Rockies Have Looked Unbelievable Recently

The Colorado Rockies have been unbelievable in their most recent stretch of games. While they could still be considered one of the worst teams in the National League, they have turned things around after their horrible play in April. Now at 20-35, they sit just five games behind the Arizona Diamondbacks for fourth place in the National League West division. Colorado must face a daunting opponent next. The Rockies will face the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers during their next three-game series. If the Rockies can win this series, perhaps June will be full of hope. They had a chance to hit a new franchise low but have certainly turned their sorrows around. Colorado will now look to continue shocking the baseball world and finally get out of that last-place spot.

Rockies Have Looked Unbelievable Recently

This team has won four out of their last six series. They swept the defending champion Texas Rangers. Then, they swept the ambitiously hungry San Diego Padres. Colorado lost their next two series against the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics, but they bounced back in a major way. The Rockies defeated the best team in the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies, in two out of three games. Most recently, Colorado won two out of three games against the Cleveland Guardians, the best team in the American League. While the Dodgers are a threat, the Rockies need to go into this series fully confident in their abilities. Colorado defeated several good teams in this unbelievable stretch and will look to match up against a loaded Dodgers squad. 1-7 Dakota Hudson will aim to take his second win of the season on Friday night in Los Angeles.

Colorado Has Played Fantastic At Coors Field

Before the team’s seven-game win streak, the Rockies were a miserable 5-14 at Coors Field. During this unbelievable stretch, Colorado has gone 8-2 at home, boosting their record at Coors Field to 13-14. It’s enormous for a young and promising team like the Rockies to win as many home games as possible. Although they have a terrible 7-21 record on the road, Colorado can change that if they continue to play with enormous confidence. With the Rockies facing the Dodgers in Los Angeles, this Colorado franchise will have the opportunity to stand out again if they can win the series or even sweep the World Series-hopeful Dodgers. Over their past 19 games, the Rockies have gone 12-7. They also have a winning record against teams over .500; the Rockies could bring the Dodgers to their heels.
