Dominik lost in the opening main draw round against Thompson in four sets. Last week in Oeiras, Koepfer lost in the opening round against Mejia in three tight sets. The conditions were similar to Montpellier’s, but he underperformed in the Challenger tournament. In Montpellier, Koepfer won against Barrere in straight sets in the opening round. Dominik was solid under pressure, saving 7/9 breakpoints. This is his first appearance in Montpellier.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Bublik is the favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. He had a disappointing start this year, and his last win was over three months ago in Paris. On the other hand, Koepfer played several matches this season and has a winning record. In his opening match against Barrere, Koepfer played well. We expect him to win against Alexander.
That being said, Koepfer winning is a value bet.

Arthur Cazaux has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, Arthur reached the second round of the Australian Open, losing against Fearnley in four sets as we predicted. At the beginning of the season, Cazaux played in Brisbane and Adelaide, where he had no success. Yesterday, in the opening round, Arthur won against Wawrinka in straight sets, as we predicted. Last year in Montpellier, Arthur reached the second round, losing against Auger-Aliassime in three tight sets. This is his third appearance in Montpellier. He has never made it past the second round.
Felix Auger-Aliassime has won four of his last five matches. A few weeks ago in Adelaide, Felix won the title, winning against Korda in the final in three tight sets. With this title, Felix now has six ATP titles under his name. The last match he played was in Melbourne two weeks ago, losing against Davidovich Fokina in the second round of the Australian Open. Felix reached the semifinals in Montpellier last year, losing against Bublik in three tight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Felix is the favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. Arthur was great in his opening match against Wawrinka. Last year in Montpellier and this year in Adelaide, Cazaux kept the match tight against Felix. We expect another tight match that could go either way.
That being said, Cazaux winning at least one set is a value bet.
