Friday is semifinal day at ATP Kitzbuhel, and while the top half of the draw features two of the tournament’s seeds, the bottom half will showcase lower-ranked players yet to win an ATP Tour title. As always, we here at LWOT are offering our predictions for both semifinals on what should be an entertaining day of tennis. But who will book their spot in Saturday’s final?
ATP Kitzbuhel Semifinal Predictions
Yannick Hanfmann vs Quentin Halys
Alexander Bublik vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry
Head-to-head: Bublik 1-0 Etcheverry
In their only meeting to date, Alexander Bublik beat Tomas Martin Etcheverry when they battled on the hard courts of the 2026 Australian Open. Since then, Bublik’s had a solid season with one title, though perhaps not accomplished quite as much as he would have liked, while Etcheverry clinched his first ATP Tour title in Rio.
The Argentinian thrives on the clay courts, though Bublik hoisted the trophy in Kitzbuhel last year, and has gradually become a player suited for all surfaces. Bublik has more weapons compared to the fifth seed, and if he plays his best tennis, he should have enough to overcome Etcheverry’s consistency in an up-and-down match. These two players, as of Thursday, are notably just two spots away from each other in the ATP Tour Finals race.
Prediction: Bublik in 3
