ATP Australian Open 1/32-Finals
Cazaux – Fearnley: 15.01.2025 04:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Arthur Cazaux has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Adelaide, Cazaux reached the second round, losing against Auger-Aliassime in three tight sets. In his first tournament of the season, He played in Brisbane, losing against Lajovic in the opening round in straight sets. In the opening Australian Open round, Cazaux defeated Baez in five sets, as we predicted. Last year in Melbourne, Arthur reached the 1/8-Finals, losing against Hurkacz in three tight sets.
Jacob Fearnley has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Jacob has played only one preparation tournament. Last week in Canberra, Fearnley reached the semifinals at the Challenger tournament, losing against Fonseca in straight sets. Fonseca ended up winning the tournament. Here in Melbourne, Fearnley won in the opening round against Kyrgios in straight sets. He lost his serve only once. Other than that, Fearnley served well throughout the whole match. Jacob had a breakthrough last season, reaching the top 100 in the rankings.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Jacob is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Cazaux is out of form and struggled against Baez in the opening round. We expect Fearnley to be a better player tomorrow and win.
That being said, Fearnley winning is a value bet.

Djokovic – Faria: 15.01.2025 04:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Novak has played only one preparation tournament. Last week in Brisbane, Djokovic reached the quarterfinals, losing against Opelka in straight sets. In his opening Australian Open round, Novak defeated Basavareddy in four sets, as we predicted. Last season, Novak underperformed at the Grand Slam events. Novak turns 38 this year, and we believe he will no longer win any Grand Slam titles. Last year in Melbourne, Djokovic lost in the semifinals against Sinner in four sets.
Jaime Faria has won four of his last five matches. In his opening match of the season, Faria lost in the opening round of the Challenger tournament in Canberra, losing against Burruchaga in straight sets. Faria has successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. In the final qualifying round, Faria defeated Lajal in three tight sets. In the opening main draw round, Faria upset Kotov in straight sets yesterday. Faria offered and saved both breakpoints.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Djokovic is the big favorite in this matchup, and we partially agree. Jaime has been incredible this week in Melbourne. We expect him to play without any pressure, as he has already overachieved this week. Novak struggled in the opening-round match and played far from his best level. We expect Faria to cover the games handicap and keep this match tighter than the bookies think.
That being said, Faria covering the games handicap is a value bet.
