Parker Boudreaux Reportedly Signs With WWE: What To Expect From The New ‘Next Big Thing’

Parker Boudreaux

Former University of Central Florida right guard Parker Boudreaux has reportedly signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In a report by The Wrestling Observer, the former college offensive lineman has signed with the company. The report has sent wrestling fans into a frenzy considering the comparisons Boudreaux has received from fans and wrestling personalities alike. Those comparisons being to the one and only “Beast Incarnate,” Brock Lesnar. It has been no secret that Boudreaux was considering a transition to wrestling after his college career. His Twitter has been a good tease, as he even posted this photo of himself and Lesnar for a side-by-side comparison.

It’s almost like looking into a mirror for Boudreaux, as his hulking size and proven strength set him up to follow in the footsteps of Lesnar. According to his own Twitter page, Boudreaux sits at 6’5, weighing 315 pounds. A sizable man for football, not just wrestling. What is known about the future “Next Big Thing” for WWE is that he has the work ethic of a beast and many in the wrestling world has been following him and for good reason. Here’s a look into who this possible future WWE star is and what he could be.

His Football Career

Boudreaux was always set to be special on the gridiron. The Winter Garden, Florida native committed to the coveted Notre Dame back in 2016 to be a member of the Fighting Irish. After being redshirt in his freshman year, he would transfer a year later back towards home. The University of Central Florida (UCF) became his main college home and saw him play his college football career. In his redshirt sophomore year, Boudreaux played in 12 games on both offense and special teams. A year later in his redshirt junior year, Boudreaux had his best season. He started all 13 games for the Knights in 2020. This ultimately became his last season as he prepares to head to WWE.

Remarks From The Highest Personnel In The Wrestling World

As he prepares to start his WWE career, he has already received some incredible nods from two of the best wrestling has to offer. Jim Ross, former talent relations executive of WWE and current All Elite Wrestling (AEW) head commentator, had this to say about Boudreaux’s future.

Ross has signed some of the biggest stars in the history of WWE to contracts, so his interest level should be taken with considerable note even after all these years. Boudreaux has had a following of the top names in wrestling and that means he should have your following too.

Then there are the words of Paul Heyman. You know, the man who has been the advocate to Brock Lesnar for much of his professional wrestling career.

The special counsel to “The Tribal Chief” knows a star when he sees one. There aren’t better words to come from someone regarding this man’s future than the guy who has been with Lesnar his entire career.

Built Different: A Massive WWE Career Ahead Of Him

Ultimately, Boudreaux’s career ceiling is as far as he pushes it to. It’s up to him in the end and how much he wants to give to it. JR makes it pretty clear that not only WWE wanted him but so did AEW. This is certainly a project to watch more than anything. He is not going to be ready to go right out the gates. But at the young age of 22, he fits the mold of a future megastar for WWE.

His mix of athleticism, strength, and unmatchable size in a WWE world that has very few like him makes him that more special. A comparison to Brock Lesnar is some sort of absurdity that is tough for anyone to live up to. “The Beast Incarnate” is a box office sensation that WWE has rarely seen. That being said, he isn’t going to last forever and with his career winding down, Boudreaux should be ready to take over when it’s finally it for Lesnar.

A future world champion is one thing. People say that about a lot of wrestlers. Many have come out of the WWE Performance Center with that exact hope. And WWE has made some world champions (Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair) while others have not been able to rise up and achieve that hopefulness (Baron Corbin, Lacey Evans). A lot of the work for these non-wrestlers comes in the Performance Center and they grow over time. Well, our guess is that not only will Boudreaux be referenced as a future world champion but a future face of the company.

The term “built different” certainly should not be taken lightly here. That’s exactly what Boudreaux seems to be. Check out these videos below to understand where we are coming from.

A freakish athlete.

Now, there is no such thing as a guaranteed star in professional wrestling. But Boudreaux seems to have everything it takes to be exactly that for WWE in the future. 22 years old means he has a lot of time to do this. Something unique for WWE as many of their current stars are currently in their 30s or nearing their 40s.

Will he be the next Brock Lesnar? Who knows. A future world champion? Perhaps. What we do know is that one way or another, he is going to be the first Parker Boudreaux. And that happens to be WWE’s “Next Big Thing.”
