Preview: WWE — NXT (8/12/20)

WWE NXT

NXT is back once again on Wednesday as they build towards the NXT TakeOver: XXX continues. There’s plenty of in-ring action to be excited about as four matches are scheduled. Here is the preview.

Karrion Kross vs. Danny Burch

This match seems to be a warm-up of sorts for Karrion Kross, who is currently in a feud with NXT Champion Keith Lee. After being attacked by Kross a week ago, Burch wants redemption. It’s going to be hard for him to get considering Kross’ rising star and dominance as of late.

Winner Enters NXT North American Championship Ladder Match – KUSHIDA vs. Cameron Grimes vs. Mystery Opponent

This match carries tons of intrigue as KUSHIDA makes his return to NXT after being M.I.A. since the Cruiserweight Championship tournament. Cameron Grimes was on a bit of a hot streak before being decimated by Keith Lee last week. And then there’s the mystery opponent, which could be a number of individuals who could enter as a surprise. Hopefully, KUSHIDA can begin his march to greatness, but the mystery opponent seems likely to win here against two top competitors. Perhaps the return of Tommaso Ciampa.

Candice LeRae & Johnny Gargano Welcome Everyone Back To Their Home

This is back. Expect both to talk about what is next in their careers, as Johnny Gargano prepares for the redemption Fatal 4-Way next week and Candice LeRae continues to have problems with the likes of Tegan Nox and Mia Yim.

Damien Priest vs. Bronson Reed

Damien Priest and Bronson Reed are set to compete ahead of the ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXX. They got in each other’s faces a week ago, leading to this match. Priest believes that Reed’s win was a fluke, while Reed is looking to show it wasn’t with a big win here. This should be nothing short of an excellent hoss fight.

Tyler Breeze vs. Santos Escobar

Tyler Breeze is looking to avenge the attack on him and his teammate, Fandango after Legado de Fantasma attacked them in the parking lot last week. This could lead to Breeze getting a title shot if he is able to shock and pull out the win over the NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
