Matt Hardy Gets “Buried” By Young Bucks In Latest #FreeTheDelete (VIDEOS)

Matt Hardy

Last week saw part one of the three-part finale of Matt Hardy‘s #FreeTheDelete Web series, which has seen the former Broken Matt Hardy struggling to compete inside the old Matt Hardy, all while a new persona seemed to be emerging. Part one caused shockwaves as it featured All Elite Wrestling (AEW)‘s The Young Bucks arriving at the Hardy Compound. Part two dropped on Wednesday afternoon and the Bucks were front and center, helping to disconnect “Zenith” from the Hardy vessel, leading to the Bucks burying Hardy’s body on the Compound.

Interestingly, at one point, Hardy’s voice changed to a lower demonic voice – Zenith? – where he seemed to be on the verge of telling the Bucks he was there to “ascend and bring order”, yet another allusion to rumors of “Broken” Matt Hardy heading to AEW to assume the mantle of The Exalted One in leading The Dark Order. Of course, AEW’s own tweet, featuring a statement from the Dark Order, didn’t help those rumors (hint: just read the first letters of every sentence).

Also, on this past Monday’s Being the Elite, the Young Bucks’ long-running web series, Matt Jackson began to have flashbacks. Around the 5 minute mark, Matt Jackson begins to have memories of carrying a coffin, which ends up being a scene in the latest #FreeTheDelete.

Are the hints becoming too obvious? It definitely seems that all signs are pointing to “Broken” Matt Hardy – or some new iteration of Matt Hardy – is heading to AEW. But according to Hardy himself in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, that’s not necessarily the case. “I’ve also spoken with IMPACT and I spoke with the NWA. I had great conversations just this week with Triple H about NXT,” he told SI on March 6. “I’m not sure where I’m going to go. From a character perspective, I want to go to an Arcadia. That’s where I can take the second coming of ‘Broken Matt’ and build upon it. I need a canvas where I can paint and collaborate.”

Part Three of the 3-Part Finale of #FreeTheDelete will air at 12pm EST on Wednesday, March 18 on Matt Hardy’s YouTube Channel.
