FREEDOMS had been quiet when it came to announcements after releasing the last batch of names. But they came back with a powerful line up of three matches along with another name announced for the show occurring at The Cuban Club. And these matches prove to be interesting.
Daisuke Masaoka is back in the USA
Daisuke Masaoka has been announced for action. Masaoka has wrestled for many companies including Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Kaientai Dojo, and Wrestle-1. While he has found most of his success in FREEDOMS holding their tag titles three times, having a near year-long reign with the King of FREEDOMS title, he should be a familiar name to the GCW fanbase.
Kenji Fukumoto vs SHLAK
Two long-tenured veterans of the deathmatch style face-off against each other. Kenji Fukumoto had been wrestling in FREEDOMS since not long after the company got its start. While SHLAK is the same getting started with the GCW brand not long after the name change. Both have been fixtures of their companies ever since and it will be a matter of deathmatch pride.
Tony Deppen vs Yuya Susumu
Tony Deppen has a habit of taking on some of the best light heavyweights in the world. And nothing points this out better than his match up with Yuya Susumu the current UWA World Junior Heavyweight champion. Yuya has held that belt three times and one of those times was for one full year. Deppen has had the ability to make show-stealing matches with talented people. So this one while light on the deathmatch will be very impressive all the same.
Takashi Sasaki and Tomoya Hirata vs KTB and Shane Mercer
The most recent announcement is a tag match that pits the promoter and one of the younger members of the FREEDOMS roster against two of the strongest men on the GCW roster. Takashi Sasaki recently wrestled at the Run Rickey Run event and didn’t show any signs of slowing down beating Alex Colon in a deathmatch. Whereas Tomoya Hirata was last seen on the Art of War show scoring a win in a tag match. KTB and Shane Mercer are two powerhouses and not afraid to have things go in a deathmatch direction. This matchup will be interesting to say the least.
