#AndNEW: Sammy Guevara Wins APW Gladiator Championship

During last night’s Pandemonium event for Adrenaline Professional Wrestling (APW) Sammy Guevara, of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) fame, shockingly won the APW Gladiator Championship.

Prior to the event, it had been announced that Sammy Guevara was suffering from an injured ankle. Subsequently, Guevara had to withdraw from his initially advertised match against Zane Zodiac. Instead, he joined the commentary team for the evening.

After Zodiac had already been through a hellacious title defence against JXT, the champion would face one last shocking challenge. Guevara would surprise everyone in attendance by cashing in his previously guaranteed title opportunity. He went on to defeat the champion in a matter of minutes. Guevara would go on Twitter later to announce his victory, posting a photo of himself with his newly-won championship.

Following the match, Zodiac issued an immediate challenge for a rematch. This will take place on May 30.
