At Friday night’s Pro Wrestling Innovation (PWI) event in Uddingston, Scotland, we witnessed the finals of the promotion’s Young Lions Tournament, as ‘The Proof of Perfection’ Danny Edwards came out victorious over ‘The Orbit Breaker’ Daz Black to head home with the trophy.

The tournament kicked off back in September, with Edwards defeating Alex Parker in the quarterfinals to advance forward, becoming the third member of Big Money Enterprises following the match as he aligned with Matt Tyson and ‘The Prizefighter’ Dean Ford. A win over striking artist John Trettan last month secured his spot in the finals, being joined in the last match by Daz. The fiery upstart was victorious over both Alex Parker and ‘Limited Edition’ Darren Vice in a Triple Threat Match at the end of November, with those being given a second chance following an injury to Hank ‘The Tank’ Harrison. With ‘The Shooting Star’ then defeating ‘The Bulldozer’ Hal Rayner two months later, the finals were set.
Earlier on in the show, Lucha DS had defeated Dean Ford, which meant both Ford and Matt Tyson would be barred from ringside during the finals of the tournament. Despite not having his boys backing him up from ringside, ‘The Proof of Perfection’ still proved all the doubters wrong as he defeated the man who has been repeatedly touted as the one to watch in Scottish wrestling.
No word yet on if Danny Edwards will receive any sort of reward for winning the tournament other than the lovely trophy, but keep your eyes peeled on the Pro Wrestling Innovation social media pages for further details.
