Noam Dar To Rejoin ICW Full-Time

Noam Dar

On the evening of Friday, November 8th, a video was released across Insane Championship Wrestling’s (ICW) social media, where backstage interviewer Jennifer Louise caught up with Noam Dar after he had beaten both Leyton Buzzard and Kieran Kelly in a Triple Threat Match on night two of Fear & Loathing XII. That video saw The Scottish Supernova reveal that not only will he be a full-time performer on NXT UK, but he’ll also be returning to ICW on a full-time basis going forward.

In ICW, Dar helped build the Zero-G division into what it is today, becoming the inaugural ICW Zero-G Champion in November 2010 after besting Andy Wild, Rob Cage, and Falcon in the finals of a tournament. Between his two reigns, the former Champagne Supernova enjoyed 518 days with that championship around his waist, while also being the longest-reigning champ in history with his first reign lasting 266 days on its own.

Dar left his ICW career behind in September 2016, losing to Andy Wild in his last match before joining the WWE roster following his participation in that year’s Cruiserweight Classic, although he has since made a handful of ICW appearances. Since joining WWE, Noam has experienced classic battles with the likes of former Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander and the history-making United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, while also recently drawing the ire of Trent Seven after stealing Seven’s trademark towel.

With a full-time return to ICW on the horizon, Noam has made his intentions crystal clear – he’s coming for the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Stevie Boy. His first match back as an official member of the roster will take place at the upcoming Fight Club tapings on Sunday, December 15th at The Garage in Glasgow against an opponent TBC.
