This weekend one of Sydney’s rising young companies will play host to its second-ever all women’s wrestling show You Go Girls 2.
Wrestling GO takes influence from quirky promotions such as Chikara and allows for much of Sydney’s young talent to have a platform to experiment with their characters before arriving onto the grand stage of Pro Wrestling Australia’s (PWA) Black Label.
You Go Girls 2 follows on from their successful debut of the all women’s show in 2018 and will see talent from all around Australia, and even New Zealand taking to the ring.

Xena vs Mortar
One of Sydney most promising young stars, Xena, will take on the debuting Polynesian Demon Mortar.
Just last month Xena and fellow LUX tag team partner Kingsley came within an inch of winning the Wrestling GO Doubles Medals (ie tag team championship). Will Xena be able to capitalise on this momentum and use her surprising power to overcome the monster from Victoria.
Conversely Mortar is making her wrestling GO debut after terrifying both audiences and opponents alike throughout Victoria. Will she be able to make a scary impression this weekend?
Jasmin Vittoria vs Erika Reid
Both of these ladies have competed all over the country and have similar experience levels. This weekend will see them clash in Wrestling GO for bragging rights.
Erika Reid has been known to call upon her inner Dreamtime witch in order to gain a victory. Could this indigenous, supernatural power be the deciding factor in this encounter?
Aysha vs Azalea
Azalea has been a constant at Wrestling GO for the last two years and has certainly cemented her position on the roster. This weekend though she will face a brand new opponent when Aysha travels up from Victoria to make her Wrestling GO debut.
Can the pocket-rocket Azalea continue to defy the odds or will the scheming Aysha make an immediate impact?
Tarlee & Shazza McKenzie vs Lucille Brawl & Izzy Shaw
An interstate war will be brewing in this tag team encounter as the team of Tarlee & Shazza represents New South Wales against the team of Queenslander Lucille Brawl and South Australian Izzy Shaw.
Together Tarlee, who has trained under WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, and Shazza have a combined 15 years experience. Something which could prove pivotal when they battle two relative youngsters in the business.
Izzy Shaw enters into this contest having trained at the prestigious Riot City Wrestling academy, so she will undoubtedly be able to hold her own. Shaw’s tag team partner could perhaps be considered a more volatile variable within this matchup. Whilst Brawl has trained at Australian Wrestling Alliance in Queensland there is a little less footage out there for her opponents to study in the lead-up, which could be an advantage for the younger team.
Steph De Lander vs Kingsley
Originally scheduled to face the domineering Harley Wonderland there had to be some hope within Kingsley’s heart that she would get an easier opponent following Wonderland’s withdrawal due to injury. Unluckily for Kingsley though she went from one monster to another powerhouse in the form of the ‘Python Powerhouse’ Steph De Lander.
This matchup is set to focus on the incredible size discrepancy between the two competitors. In order to achieve a victory in this one Kinglsey is going to have to use all of her cunning, trickery and wit to unsettle the powerful De Lander.
For De Lander the focus here will be to simply run over the top of Kingsley like a speed bump. Although De Lander has been known to let her anger take over from time to time, which could be detrimental.
Bel Pierce vs Aspn
Aspn, formerly known as Ashlee Spencer, will be making her return to Wrestling GO this weekend. However, this time she is bringing a whole new, darker side of herself than we’ve ever seen before. Since unleashing this new side of herself onto New Zealand Aspn has been on a lengthy undefeated streak, which she will hope to continue Sydney.
Standing across the ring from Aspn will be another competitor who has been dominating the competition in Wrestling GO. In 2019 Bel Pierce has racked up wins against the likes of Steph De Lander, Tarlee, JT Robinson and Lex Lennock.
Whilst both ladies are on prolific winning runs their personalities couldn’t be more diametrically opposed. This weekend’s matchup will decide whether the light or dark reigns supreme in Wrestling GO.
2 Out Of 3 Falls: Jessica Troy vs Kellyanne
At the inaugural, You Go Girls ever last year these two ladies had a match of the year contender. Ultimately Jessica Troy would walk out victorious in that first encounter. Since then they have faced off one more time with Kellyanne picking up the win in the rematch. Therefore this weekend will be the rubber match.
In order to get a clear and decisive winner, Wrestling GO management has made this a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match, with Kellyanne’s Wrestling GO Silver Medal on the line.
Expect these two ladies to put on a wrestling masterpiece. This matchup could very well be the Australian Match Of The Year. So keep an eye out for it online if you can’t be there live.
