Former IMPACT Announcer McKenzie Mitchell Signs With WWE

McKenzie Mitchell, the former backstage interviewer for IMPACT Wrestling who departed the company this past January, has found a new job and it’s working for WWE. Mitchell announced the news herself on her Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

From May of 2016 until January of 2019, McKenzie Mitchell was an on-air interviewer for IMPACT Wrestling, who periodically shared duties with Alicia Atout (who also left IMPACT) before being replaced by Melissa Santos. McKenzie also acted as a Digital & Social Media Manager with IMPACT Wrestling. After departing IMPACT, she worked for FOX Sports, so it will be interesting to see if that parlays into possibly working for SmackDown once it moves to FOX in October.

McKenzie wasn’t the only new announcer hire this week, as they also added SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio host Matt Camp to the team. Camp has also appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio and has served as an announcer for Tommy Dreamer‘s House of Hardcore on occasion. Camp revealed his new job on Wednesday as well.
